I think I'd like to order the doll and girl matching outfits for Diana and Kailey who will be her birthday present in April! They look very cute.

Thank you so much for the club outfit update! My niece is a member, and my SIL has been debating whether or not to buy it for her for her birthday. I'll tell her that she definetely should.
As far as the club people shutting down accounts for purchasing to many outfits, I think that it is a good idea. I'm sure they aren't going to shut someone down for buying two when they only have one girl registered, but rather for the people who are buying 20 of the outfit, which is already available on ebay. I agree that half of the appeal of the club for the girls is that it is exclusive, and if anyone can buy the outfit, why join the club? We'll have to wait and see what AG does.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I'm sorry not to start another heated debate but is that saying if you only have one membership you should only be able to buy one outfit? If I am the one who is paying for the membership and the outfits and I buy one for my daughter and decide I want one for myself I should not be allowed to because our limit should be however many memberships we have? What if there is a younger daughter who is too young to be in the club, but she wants one to match her sister's doll? Or if a girl has two dolls and wants them to dress alike she should still only be allowed one, although she or her mother will most likely be paying because it will be a small fortune in stars? I highly doubt AG is concerned because it is more money to them. If they want to cancel people's memberships for spending more money on their products, well, they can go right ahead. But those are some strange business tactics.[/QB][/QUOTE]Originally posted by Miss M:

Miss M, I believe you misread my post. If you will look at your Club membership, you can have all your children under the same parent account. As I said, AG knows the children you have on your account. So, if you are purchasing the outfit for your children, there isn't a problem. The problem comes in when members start to purchase outfits for those not in the Club and/or outfits for selling on ebay. There are many people in the Club and AG would be smart to protect the exclusiveness for those in the Club by canceling the membership of a very small amount of abusers. Trust me, there are many more people purchasing from AG than collectors, ebay sellers, and people here on the Board. AG will please the folks that pay the bills, not a select few.

Yup. thicker "french terry" that is it......I knew I would remember it if I heard what it was.
I thought about joining but Nicole is only 4 years old (in February). But I think I would have gotten it if she was older.
I really don't see anything wrong in getting a club outfit for somebody else. It shouldn't matter to AG since you are paying for the membership already anyway. I do agree that there should be a restriction on how many to get, but to get just a couple extras should be okay. I would hate to think that somebody would actually call AG and tell on somebody for doing that and have them kicked out. American Girl is supposed to be a fun hobby that people share and enjoy not a tool to make others unhappy.
Kim,
Can you tell me on the girl's outfit if the quality of the fabric is thick/good? Johanna said that it is a thicker type of cotton knit. Wondering since they're white, if they are at all see through...Diana insists on all those printed underwear that might show through? She really has very few pair that are just solid white.

I just read on the website that the shorts are french terry. Usually that is a heavier knit.
